I have a lump in my right upper eyelid for a week, my sister told me it is chalazion nd will go away by itself. I thought of hot compress but i never did, so i’ll try it when i get home and i’ll but tobradex later. Hope it will help, it not i need to see a doctor.

Hi Rose!

yes, Tobradex is effective for the upperlid too… What my doctor told me to do is:

- Place a warm compress over my affected eyelid for 5 to 10 minutes
- Apply Tobradex ointment on the affected area, right after the warm compress… Using a cotton bud… Apply it like an eyeliner
- Do this 3 to 4x a day

hi thre, im just asking if tobradex is effective in the upperlid? i have one in my right eye, and im so frustrated about it, at first i thought its only a stye and i got bigger..pls help pls.

First off it sounds like you had a stye, Chalazions usually last a month and take a long time to go away. It took me a month. Here is my experience

Hi Ann! I know how you feel. I’ve been there! You may want to place hot compress on your eye, for 5 to 10 minutes before lining your eyelid with a tobradex ointment. Use it like an eyeliner. And then to add a couple of drops on your eye. Close your eyes for 5 to 10 minutes after doing this. And do this to 2 to 4 times a day if posible to hasten the healing. Hope this helps!

Hi G, i have been having this in my eye since november, i thought it was just gonna go away. i did put tobradex, but drops only. was unaware of an ointment. i didnt even see a doctor. im getting sick of this lump..its annoying. pls reply thanks

Hi Sadiq… Use a hot/ warm compress on your closed eye for 5-10 minutes and then the ointment needs to be apply on the edge of the upper eyelid itself… But, still have it checked with your doctor if it’s possible. Thanks!
