What Motivates YOU?

Aside from the non-stop rain that we’ve been experiencing lately. I also have a BIG dose of LAZINESS right now. Lately, I’ve been too exhausted with playing with Sky the whole day and he’s been sleeping late lately – and so am I. That I don’t have the strength to wake-up early and just RUN.

I need a kick in the butt. My last run was last week and it was the last “ME” exercise I’ve had last. You can call playing and taking care of my son exercise – but, I think I need to get OUT and move by myself.

         See SKY run!

What gets me into “Running” or “Exercise” is it clears my mind and gives me that “heightened” feeling. Running also creates a ferocious amount of energy for me to be a better mom and to be a better person most of all. This rut has got to STOP. I’m feeling down when I don’t get myself going.

Tomorrow I do hope I get to wake up a little bit early than usual and just RUN. And head on to U.P. Diliman to register for the PMI run.

What motivates me is the achievement of breaking my personal barriers. That’s why I like the process of running longer distances and faster finish times.

I haven’t run in UP since. Parang malayo siya from my place. Goodluck and see you next time.

What motivates me is the desire to have a healthy body for my wife and my children. Now i’m enjoying the running more because swthrt (my wife) now runs with me. Another thing is that now God is using running and blogging for my spiritual growth by giving me insights from my running experiences. I can also get to share the love and goodness of God to other people through blogging.

First, don’t sweat it…the more pressure you put on yourself, the worse it will get…look at your health as a long-term, lifestyle that will result in better health, longer, and increase the length of your life. Don’t sweat a month or even two off of exercising…take that time to maybe dabble in other exercises…try yoga, karate, pilates, boxing, sports conditioning…you may find something to mix it up and re-kindle the fire.

You needn’t exercise a lot to have good health or longevity…what you must do though is balance it with good eating habits and rest, and liquids if you are not exercising as much.

A study I read some time ago of people who made it past ninety, had active lifestyles (jobs that required physical work) but most didn’t engage in regular exercise…

Something different motivates me almost every time I work out…I vary my workouts from boxing, karate, weight lifting, running, mountain biking, road biking, swimming, and pilates… I do what I’m in the mood for, and if I’m not in the modd to exercise…I don’t…and I don’t care either…I know, long-term, I’m living healthy…you are too…good luck!

Thanks! I think I need to play it up a little bit – haven’t been boxing for a while – I might just do that OR try Yoga. And you’re absolutely right about “putting too much pressure” – on exercising – that it becomes a task and not a habit anymore…

    Good point there, Barry.

Focus on what you want to do and what you want to achieve and start from there.

When you reach 50, your age alone motivates you heh heh …
Seriously: the crispy pata, baked oysters, buttered shrimps, etc. motivate me to run hah hah … plus the fact that I have 2 children who’ll be orphans at an early age if I don’t take care of my health. That’s what drives me most.
