After seeing my badge of honor that I got from the Urbanathlon and being exhausted from taking care of two kiddos yesterday, I decided to go out and have a date with myself. My car was coding and I borrowed one of my parent’s transportation.

I kissed Sky Goodbye and left him to Ate Ging’s good hands, I drove myself to Trinoma with no plan in mind – except for a pedicure!
The mall just opened when I parked, and I headed straight to Fix salon for a much needed foot pampering. I opted not to have a foot spa – I needed the calluses for extra cushioning in my runs!
Kadiri ba?
After which, I went by Powerbooks hoping to get a copy of “Three Cups of Tea” by Greg Mortenson. But it was not in stock! So off I went around, trying to steer clear of any sports and children stores. As much as I tried my best to buy something more feminine for my oh so plain wardrobe – I bought two plain round neck shirts AGAIN. I should start browsing through women’s magazine for tips. I suck at dressing up! I should ask Cathy’s advice in this arena.
It was also refreshing to have lunch by myself in peace for a change. I had the Galette Rustique’ (P185) from Cafe Breton; Canadian Bacon, Tomato Provencal and an egg on a bed of Asparagus (for additional P35) and Mushrooms on a whole wheat crepe. Another one of my comfort food.

Went around the cinema, thinking of watching a movie… But I went back to Sky instead, after 3 and 1/2 hours of being by myself – I suddenly missed him.
This was the traffic going back to Monumento area from EDSA. Since the MRT construction is underway. It will be a few more months of heavy traffic here, maybe even years!
Just sharing what I did for today. When I got home, Sky was taking his afternoon nap. He woke up with a smile when I planted a kiss on his lips.

*ouch* sa bruise! it’s nice to have me-day every once in a while.
