It was quite disappointing missing the first mass of the Simbang Gabi last Tuesday morning. I didn’t have enough strength to muster myself out of bed due to Sky’s crying three times from 12 midnight until 4AM.
It was 3:30AM when I finally abated that I won’t be able to attend the first Simbang Gabi.
Instead, I promised myself to attend one regular mass to make-up for missing the first one.
As I get my thoughts ready for hearing mass tonight, I have learned how powerful prayer can be. I am devoting this series of masses for yet another block that is seemingly blocking the road ahead of me.
Admittedly, I haven’t been my religious self lately. There are times that I feel my Faith waver, it is a fact that 2008 was a tumultuous year for me. Despite the storm though, we are still very blessed.
So, last night after I finished hearing the 3rd Simbang Gabi (my second one); I went straight to Mama Mary and grasped her hand and prayed with all my heart and soul…
I fervently hope my wish will be heard this Christmas.
