Seafood City

One Vegas afternoon a month ago, Cocoy and Sky were feeling a bit down the weather. Both of them had the sniffles and BOTH refused to eat anything in the house.

There was usually ONE thing that any Filipino kid will NOT refuse to eat… And that’s ANY food over at Jollibee. ☝ As soon as I told them that we were having lunch over at Jollibee – their face lit up and were both in a hurry to get their shoes on.

It only took a 10-minute drive to Seafood City, from my sister’s place in Las Vegas.

Being a tourist in the US, going inside Seafood City was like… being transported back to Manila. With Sharon’s face plastered in every poster in the area, seeing a Chowking store, a Red Ribbon outlet and a Jollibee in ONE area. It felt just like I never left home.

It’s also amusing to see a “Samu’t-sari” and a Hortaleza kiosk inside. The place reminded me of the new Cash and Carry over at Makati.

Cocoy had his fix of “See-Ken Joy”, while Sky (and I) polished off a serving of spaghetti. And next thing you know, the boys were jumping again and their sniffles suddenly disappeared! ☺

And then we came back again because Ate Day needed her fix of “See-Ken Joy”. :D

Oh my…I so miss ‘see ken joy’! There’s no Joillibee here so it’s been ages since I’ve that….the pic made me want it more.

Funny how even those who visit a foreign land still gravitate towards places na pang Pilipinas. I remember doing that [going to a Fil resto] when I visited a friend in Los Angeles for a month. Eh kagagaling ko lang ng Pilipinas nun….hahaha.

    Happy Easter G!
