Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd of each year. Now that there is a worldwide concern in global warming and climate change. Earth Day is now more celebrated and understood more than ever. Admittedly though, majority of us are still not conscious of our “habits” that directly hurt mother earth.
Today, I was supposed to go to a meeting – but I ended up being stuck in heavy traffic for 4 hours! The traffic was caused by floods because of a heavy downpour at exactly 12 noon. Unfortunately for me, I was already on the road by that time. Good thing, I had a book with me to keep me company while I literally waited for 2 hours in idle traffic and another 2 hours to weave the car around Metro Manila to get myself home. Good thing I decided to drive an SUV. I didn’t have to worry about getting bogged down in the middle of a flooded road.
April is supposed to be the hottest month in The Philippines. But, it’s been raining almost every afternoon for the past week. And how ironic that a shallow low pressure area (read: some kind of a storm) occurred today, on Earth Day.
Mother nature is getting a wee bit pissed. And I really don’t blame her. Time to Be AWARE my friends!

Aga ng flood festival ah. We definitely have one of the worst infrastructures in Asia. Konting ulan lang, baha agad. It’s embarassing.
Sinabi mo pa! And what’s worst, are the “floaters” you see kapag bumabaha!
But nothing can be worse than the “floaters” in public toilets. I’ll tell ya that.
