THANK GOD!

When I took the Physical Therapy board exams right after my graduation in 1998 – I didn’t think too much of it. And not passing the boards at that time wasn’t a big deal. I was young and ignorant.

Fast forward to 2009.

I buried myself deep into the new studies in the world of Physical Therapy for 4 months. Everyone thought that I was prepared for this one.

But deep inside me – I didn’t think I was. I felt that I still had a lot to learn before that fateful weekend.

I finished a bit early on the last day of the exam, and I walked straight to San Sebastian church to give thanks – for giving me the courage to take the boards. When I  sat down in one of the pews – I just started crying. I was at a loss in what to say to Him.

I fished out my Novena booklet to Our Mother of Perpetual Help – and I prayed a novena – even if it wasn’t a Wednesday. And then, it started RAINING really hard. I didn’t think of the rain that moment – until I got the news last Wednesday night from my cousin that I am one of the 390 who passed the Physical Therapy board exams for July 2009.

To some people RAIN is a sign of suffering and hardships. To me it is a sign of GOOD THINGS to come. When it rain it REALLY POURS!
