Playing with Science

A couple of weeks ago, we went to the SM Mall of Asia just to enjoy each others company on D’s day-off. And then by chance, we passed by the Science Discovery Center right in the Southern side of the vast mall.

With a screening inside the planetarium in thirty minutes, we decided to check the place out. The entrance fee was supposed to be 330 pesos for each person. But with the SM Advantage card, we only paid 300 pesos each instead. :)

You can stay inside the center for as long as you want, however you can only watch one planetarium showing per visit. We were there at 1:45PM and the next film showing was “ANIMALS OF THE FUTURE” at 2:20PM.

While waiting, we went around and played with the interactive games inside the two-story facility. The center was a modest version of Innoventions both of which I was able to visit in Disneyland, California and Disneyworld, Florida.

It was a weekday when we went and we practically had the place to ourselves. The three of us sat comfortably apart inside the planetarium. Sky was immersed with the show. Good thing it was just us when he started shouting out the names of animals that he was familiar with. :D

After the showing, we spent two more hours playing around the center. Not bad for 300 pesos. :D A must-visit if you have children ages 2 and up!

The Nido Fortified Science Discovery Center offers discounts and free entrance if you follow their promo mechanics:
